your bread will be there tomorrow morning.

“Work is love made visible.
And if you cannot work with love but only with distaste, it is better that you should leave your work and sit at the gate of the temple and take alms of those who work with joy.
For if you bake bread with indifference, you bake a bitter bread that feeds but half man’s hunger.”

~Kalil Gibran

My son says that food must be cooked and served with Love. He says that if you are in a foul mood while cooking for others, then you should put away your apron and go do something else, because food cooked in that manner contains poison.
I know you ARE love and that all your bread will contain that great good spirit. I love the quotes you selected. Very appropos.

    Lydia,
Fresh from the oven bagels served on the porch! What a wonderful way to start the weekend with out-of-town family! Our thanks for a delightful breakfast. The left-overs were just as tasty the next morning after a quick run through the toaster. Mmmmm.

    Hi Miss M.

I’m working on it! Once I finish my brick oven I am open to delivering freshly baked bread to anyone! Even my beloved relatives who live hours away, and I am sorry I see so seldom :/

Bagels aren’t only for breakfast. Grilled Chicken on a Garlic Bagel with slices of avocado is pure heaven. Plain Bagels make great BLT sandwiches as well. Your Bagels get a little stale, slice them up and bake them for Bagel Chips. A welcome alternative to potato chips.

Good Luck Lydia! You are off to an amazing start.
